Hello, I'm Aliza, a dedicated Registered Dietitian (RD) and Nutritionist, and I'm the founder of Aliza Baskir Nutrition, a virtual nutrition practice. My primary mission is to serve as your guide on a transformative journey toward discovering your healthiest self, both physically and emotionally. I specialize in a wide range of areas, including general nutrition counseling, eating disorders, food allergies and intolerances, and the management of chronic diseases.

My passion lies in the potential of food to be a powerful agent of healing. In today's world, we grapple with the widespread prevalence of chronic diseases and the pervasive influence of diet culture, resulting in suffering on both ends of the spectrum.

My personal journey, marked by a tree nuts allergy and the challenge of managing my daughter's allergies to milk, eggs, and nuts, has fueled my fascination with the intersection of nutrition and allergies. I've experienced the anxiety, firsthand, of meticulously reading food labels and advocating for accommodations. This experience ignited my curiosity about what might be missing in allergen-free alternatives. Faced with the need to avoid major food groups for my daughter, I leveraged my nutritional expertise to identify alternative sources of vital nutrients lacking in dairy, eggs, and nuts, enabling her to enjoy the foods that she loves while feeling safe and confident that she is meeting her nutritional needs.
